#ObservationalMode is when the fly-on-the-wall approach to making a HV is used, also known as Cinema Verite. Most Hunting Videos, however, are made or documented in a Participatory mode, where the cameraman participates directly or indirectly in the hunt to varying degrees. Members of the Hunting Team will talk with or interact with the camera. These HVs contains semi-directed scenes or on location interviews, all to produce and edit a HV in a more intentional manner. Dialogue tends to be more staged and intentional. In #ObservationalMode, the Hunting Team just go about the hunt with no acknowledgement of the camera or interaction/talking with the cameraman. There is no narration, #VoiceOver or #InCameraTransitions, and only simple editing is used. Dialogue tends to be conversational as opposed to staged interviews.
