Whistling can be used to stop an animal that is on the move to allow the Huntress to take the first shot. Animals will often react by stopping in their tracks to look up in the direction of the whistle. This can be an effective way to allow for a more ethical shot at a stationary target. However, it can also spook the animal or herd and cause them to run off.
